Advanced Two-Man Umpire Clinic Overview

Friday Evening (Zoom Class): We will kick off the clinic with an interactive Zoom session focusing on the theoretical aspects of the two-man mechanics. This session will cover:

• Positioning: Understanding where to position yourself on the field to ensure the best view of the action.
• Communication: Developing clear and concise signals and verbal cues to effectively communicate with your partner and other game participants.
• Rule Applications: Discussing various scenarios and how rules apply within the two-man mechanics system.
• Q&A Session: A chance for attendees to ask questions and clarify doubts about the mechanics and rules.

Saturday (Field Work): On Saturday, we will transition to the field to put the theory into practice with hands-on experience. This day will include:

• Two-Man Rotations: Working through different game situations to understand the movement and rotation required of each umpire. This will involve simulated games to practice real-time decision-making and positioning.
• Cage Work: Dedicated time in the batting cage to focus on plate stances and mechanics. This will help refine your positioning behind the plate and ensure consistent and accurate calls.
• Feedback and Coaching: Throughout the day, instructors will provide personalized feedback to help you improve your mechanics, stance, and overall performance.
